I thought that our last chance to crack to top 25 disappeared with a loss to K State. Now, if we take care of business, Creighton takes care of business and then we take care of Creighton we have another shot. Beating 3 top 15 teams and being undefeated in conference certainly is deserving.

Anyone who watched college baseball in 2011 has to wonder if 2012 will be a replay. Thanks to changes in the specifications in metal bats, college baseball suffered a Dead Ball era in 2011, the bats sucking the power out of the game and turning line drives that used to be triples at Blair into singles or outs.

First and foremost, they are "San Diego State" which already sets them apart from us and every other state school in our conference that goes by California State University fill in the blank. They understand branding better than us and would never allow themselves to be lumped in with Cal State Stanislaus, or Cal State Monterrey Bay like we do. The administration made a baby step in branding with "YOUR" LB 49er's. But, it is not really ours until you change our official name to LONG BEACH STATE and put the COMMUNITY FIRST, INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE STATE FIRST!  Then,  it will finally be our Long Beach State 49er's.   Secondly, they have built MASSIVE on campus housing the last 10 years at SDSU which has totally changed the culture on their campus.
