I've been led to believe that it Coach Monson that is delaying the announcement of the incoming transfers. These transfers are 6-10 Edgar Garibay from LMU, 6-7 Tony Freeland from DePaul, and 6-5 Keala King from Arizona St. Could there be a fourth?

I understand the Az.state guy, but a DePaul and LMU guy? Keala King has to be eligible for us to have success next season. We will have no proven outside shooter but Ennis and Caffey. I can see some sweetness next year and competing for a title. Four proven scorers with a lot deeper bench. How can you not be deeper stats wise? Edis makes a dent in my theory with his hustle and timely plays though. I'm nervous about UOPlenty and their defensive scheme and our taking teams for granted. This is Bob T's resurrection game and he knows it. I think FINISH needs to be applied here.

The Depaul guy Freeland and the ASU guy King will probably be starters as soon as they are eligible. Very good chance that we will have a different starting line up at the semester break.
Gulley is also supposed to be a good outside shooter. 02/09/12 9:48 AM |

Monson has to sell some of your players on playing 20 to 30 minutes per game during non-conference play, with the payoff being that they get dropped to 0 to 10 minutes per game during the second half of the season. Not sure how well they'll take that.

Could be a good pipeline to MD. And seeing that 3 out of the 7 recruits Sendek brought in have left, I don't see him being an issue on the the team. GULB. Here's another tshirt you can make and sell in the bookstore since 30 different ways to say LB St. is not enough. Gonzaga University-Long Beach.

Keala King was only at Mater Dei for one season. In fact, he had committed to ASU before ever playing a game for the Monarchs. Hard to envision a pipeline being based on that. MD gets a lot of players who transfer in for their junior or senior year; players of those caliber you have to start tracking before they transfer.... by the time they're at MD, it's too late.
At Disneyland on Sunday, I saw a guy in a CSULB sweatshirt, a woman in a Long Beach State shirt, and another guy with a BEACH hat. 02/14/12 5:36 PM |

However he has said he will play 9 if all have the skill set he needs to win. It is short and honest. Every player knows what he needs to do to play. 02/16/12 12:48 AM |
