If we go DII I my support goes DII, i.e. LBSU sports will be a total afterthought unless one of our teams is national championship DII material, then I might check em out. And I live just down the street from the Pyramid.

FKA will raise the fees, I'm confident, and I guess he's waiting until next year because this year the students are getting hit this year with the new Student Fitness Center fee. If we have to wait one more stinkin year, I'll be o.k. with that only if the new fee is substantial. Since I hear it may be graduated to lessen the impact on any of the current students who are whiny loudmouths with entitlement complexes, I'd like to see a new fee like this:
2011: $100 per semester...whiny crybabies have a full year to xfer to Dom Hills or LA State while paying a minor semester fee
2012: $250 per semester...most crybabies have either shut up or left, we start noticing better athletic teams and more school spirit
2013: $325 per semester...crybabies are now on 2nd year of about 5 more years at CSUDH getting their Social History of Indian Terrorism (S.H.I.T) degrees
after that cost of living increases. at $650 a year X 30,000 students that's just under $20,000,000 per year, $10 million for athletics and $10 million for various student services. Just think we could actually be very competitive nationally in many of our sports again, and students will be lining up at the gate for our still highly acclaimed value as well as all the sweet "extras" that make the college experience an amazing time (note if we can add 2,000 more on campus housing units this plan looks even better)

And the future whiney-entitleaholics will realize that DII Cal State is their kingdom where the sports are meaningless.
