Although I'd much rather see FKA just come right out and say "We want to have, hands down, the best athletics program in the Big West, and be competitive in the majority of our sports on a national level in a given year.  That is why we are instituting a new student athletics fee.  Transfer applications to CSUDH and CSULA, along with a year's supply of bus tokens, are available to anyone who doesn't like this new plan.  I have a waiting list of 50,000 qualified students waiting to take your place and pay the new fee.  So shut up and pay up!"

Let the market dicatate the tuition. We need to get away from calling it a fee and call it what it is. We should be able to charge what a private HS does. Come on, the market will bear $10K per year tuition for a Bachelors from Long Beach State? Are you kidding me.

Because of the economic situation which is only going to get worse, cut the PC bullshit and let the schools be more autonomous. You know for a fact that schools like LB, SDSU, Fresno St., Nutwood Tech(hey, we always need strippers, right) and Cal Poly have more demand than the other CSUs so we should be able to charge what we can to increase income as soon as possible because the cost of everything is going to go up and you need to be proactive to the changes coming up.

We need to inform the students that in the coming environment, the increased athletic presence will transfer into a tangible benefit in the job market. You think a graduate 20 years ago from Gonzaga had a different value on their diploma than a current graduate does? The only way that happened is because of the enhanced basketball program, nothing else.
