Yeah, chy, you have a point but I wanted other people that aren't as aware about IP addresses to know the facts.
I don't mean to scare you because every website you go to knows your IP address so it's not like you're anonymous anyways or your IP is some big secret. If you were that worried about it, you wouldn't be surfing the net at all. It's just that it doesn't need to be publicized unnecessarily as malicious people can do things like below.
Here is one post regarding TC from the other board that I found to be absolutely unacceptable. Hey, I admit I make fun of TC but I do it for fun. It's not anything mean or malicious toward him. But to be able to endanger someone else's livelihood because of a stupid message board is crossing the line. All pertinent information is deleted, even Hank's IP.
P.S. A tip, if you have a high speed internet, disconnect it when you are not using it.

Contact senior officials at the XXXXXX Unified School District and inform them that an employee with the IP address of XXXXXXXXX is posting inappropriate messages during the workday. Most likely, the school district (like other companies) have a policy for not using the Internet for non-work related items during the workday. So report TitanCzar to the school district, and include sample messages he has posted with the IP address shown in the messages. I'm sure someone with the district would not be please with the fact that someone is making inappropriate posts during the workday - especially since we (the taxpayers) are paying his salary. If he loses his job - post another "W" for Long Beach State!!!
