You are probably right that it is wishful thinking that some of the other conference members will make the comittment necessary to advance the conference, up from it mid to upper teens ranking in MBB. However, I still think that the really bad times may be in the rear view mirror. A stable and maturing BW is what is needed now, and adding schools makes no sense unless they can immediatly help, plus those schools are just not available right now. All LB can do is improve itself and it appears that is what is happening. The conference needs a leader to show the other members what can be done and what the benefits are, and LB can position itself to be just that. And if not, LB becoming the big fish in a little pond also has its benefits.
